The Beauty of Cornwall

Carbis Bay & St Ives

As you may know, Cornwall is a huge place full of natural beauty and stunning white sand beaches. My personal favourite beach would be Carbis Bay beach, a short walk from the well-known St Ives harbour.

Carbis Bay Beach

This beach is suitable for all ages as it has plenty of space for everyone, with its beautiful white sand and clear blue waters. It offers a selection of water sports such as kayaking, jet skiing and surfing along with lessons for beginners! There is also parking facilities at this beach, meaning if you are staying elsewhere in Cornwall, you can easily park and visit. Ice cream at this beach is also Cornwalls absolute finest however, keep an eye out for the seagulls as they are lethal, stealing any food they lay their eyes on.

Dining

After your relaxed day at Carbis bay beach, I would highly recommend anyone to visit St Ives Harbour for a bite to eat. This is a short 5 minute train journey away and is a hot spot for sea food lovers, with the freshest most delicious fish you could possibly ask for. The restaurant I have visited time and time again is called 'Harbour fish & Chips'. My personal choice of fish here was the sea bass, giving it a rating of 10/10.

Eden Project

If you prefer visiting unusual and interesting attractions, the Eden Project is by far a must see if you are visiting Cornwall. It is an educational charity that is looking to "create a movement that builds a relationship between people and the natural world". It is the world's larges indoor rainforest and consists of massive biomes that gives you that mediterranean feel, pretty cool if you ask me. The climate in these globes match the climate of the Amazon rainforest, making it a truly unique experience. You will learn all about different fruits, plants, flowers, etc in the most entertaining way possible. I personally loved it here and you can even climb to the top of the biome, and see the indoor waterfall and the extent of how huge the biomes actually are. Many people have went out their way to see this place, even Queen Elizabeth II herself and the G7 leaders! Must be pretty good for a passing queen to visit!
